"I’ve known PM Group for over 25 years as a client and found them to be a highly professional company. Now working for PM Group, it’s a work culture where I fit in - with people who like to collaborate and get the job done."
"Working within a site CQV team, I'm experiencing new and different processes every day. I like the challenge of dealing with issues that can arise during a project. Successfully handing the facility over to the client is the most exciting and satisfying part."
"PM Group feels like family. The company strives for professionalism and commercial success while still retaining a basic decency to staff, clients and contractors. The ethics of this are really important to me."
"There’s never a dull moment in the structural department! It’s amazing to be part of the process of tackling challenging structural problems to bring a new building to life."
“PM Group's Graduate Programme gave me a solid foundation in business and technical operations. I gained valuable skills that I now use daily. I’m excited to see how far I can grow."
My father was a quantity surveyor and would bring home floor plans and drawings. I was fascinated and used to create my own, colouring them in with highlighters. That interest led me to Building Surveying, which guided me into Project Services.
I've recently been involved with two main projects. One is an upgrade to a Medtech warehouse production facility, installing process equipment and vessels. The other was the refurbishment of PM Group’s Birmingham office. As Project Manager, I really enjoyed liaising with PM Group personnel and the contractor. I was so excited to see it launched recently.
Working in process driven manufacturing sectors, compared to residential environments in my previous roles. Learning new processes, along with the mechanical and electrical side of engineering, has been a big challenge. The residential sector was very similar from project to project, whereas the variety in these sectors now drives my own work.
The complete transition to working in new sectors was a big appeal. Ultimately, it was the culture though. Here I am valued, not just a number. The culture is perfect for where I want to be.
During lockdown I started gaming and currently I love Dungeons and Dragons! I also enjoy murder mystery novels. At the moment I’m reading ‘Guest List’ about a murder at a wedding…maybe a bad choice as I get married soon!
