PM Group is pleased to announce the award by Boehringer Ingelheim of the Construction Management of the PM Group designed, 12,000m2 Chemical Innovation Plant project in Germany.

Last week Boehringer Ingelheim and German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz laid the foundation stone for the prestigious new innovation centre.

The new API facility will be constructed within the existing campus in Ingelheim and is planned for the late stage development of New Chemical Entities (NCEs). The facility will incorporate the latest technologies, processing capability and automated processes.

PM Group has been working closely with Boehringer Ingelheim since September 2020, completed the basic design in 2021 and will complete the detailed design in Q4 2023. It is expected that the new facility will be fully commissioned in 2026.

“We are delighted to have won the Construction Management scope of this major API Project. Working in partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim, our teams have brought the project through the Permitting, Basic Design and Procurement stages, and we are currently delivering Detailed Design. The project marks another significant milestone in our own strategy to grow our business in Germany,” said Anthony O’Rourke, CEO Designate & Project Sponsor, PM Group.

“We are really excited about helping Boehringer Ingelheim to realise its vision to create a world leading innovation centre in Germany. Key to winning the Construction Management phase of the project is the deep technical expertise and experience of our teams who work with the world’s leading pharma organisations,” said Richard Horvath, Operations Manager Germany & Netherlands, PM Group.
