'Safe Assets, Delivered Safely' was the theme of PM Group's recent Process Safety Breakfast Briefing in Cork, Ireland. The event attracted Operational and Engineering Managers, EHS and Process Safety professionals from across the Munster region.

At the event Stewart Robinson from TÜV SÜD spoke about 'Maintaining Compliance Through Asset Lifecycle' and highlighted several essential regulatory requirements and the importance of maintaining an assets technical file, especially in the context of change.

Also presenting were PM Group's own Process Safety experts. Pat Cummins discussed learnings from evaluations of Pressure Relief Devices (PRDs) at existing facilities and Jennifer Ryan and Orla Duggan explained the benefits of consequence modelling to enable smart siting of equipment with major accident potential. Pat Swords closed out the briefing with a pragmatic and simple approach to ATEX, by ensuring high-integrity equipment and durably technically sealed / enhanced tightness installations.

The event was a great success and we are planning future events on this topic.
